Made by Joshua Hoffine, a talented American photographer, they generate a frisson of horror.
Through these photos, sometimes shocking, he calls up the nightmares of our childhood !

These dreams, terrifying and worrisome, making our heart beat faster when we were still toddlers.
These bad dreams which sometimes would wake us in the middle of the night, our sheets wetted by fear, screaming :
"Mummy, Daddy, help ! There is a monster under my bed (or in my closet) ! "

These fright which we had to seek the warmth of parental bed in order to solace us and return calmly in our bed ! These terrible dream that we had succeeded to forget, they are here :





Joshua Hoffine works his photographs inspiring him by his own memories, his fears, but also those his children.
Realised without photomontage, and with the help of his family members and friends, he directs like a real film (lighting, costumes, make-up, special effects...) to create images representative "universal fear" !

On these dark and scheming photographs, youo can also notice that there is almost every time the same little girl. It is the daughters of the artist, Chloé and Shiva.
If Joshua Hoffine does not photograph small boys, it is that he prefers take photographs girls who according to him they have more design power : they represent purity, innocence and can recall some fairy tales like Alice in Wonderland.
